We have an opportunity for a CAD Engineer who is looking to take the next steps in their career development.
Job Purpose:
● Create accurate 3D CAD models, 2D assembly drawings, cutting lists and other information used to process material and manufacture parts used in the assembly of Holiday Homes
● Produce designs which contribute to satisfying the product brief and RFT quality, using information from other teams across the business such as Design, Process Engineering and Product Management
● Use the design manual etc to ensure that standard departmental practices are followed
● Design to current standards/procedures and liaise with compliance specialists to ensure that the products meet regulation requirements.
● Work in close conjunction with the prototype team to gather and react to feedback from first-off builds
● Take ownership of designs and provide solutions for design improvements
● Perform thorough departmental drawing checks for production/supplier usage checks on colleague’s 3D CAD models and drawings
● Provide technical CAD data to procurement and bill of materials teams.
Job requirements
Key requirements, skills, and attributes needed to fulfil the role:
● Good working knowledge of 3D modelling packages
● Experience in creation of manufacturing data and drawings
● Experience of manufacturing processes used in creating the structure of Holiday Homes, modular buildings or similar
● Work independently & as part of a team to produce accurate information to a tight schedule, maintaining focus
● Engineering qualification to minimum of HND level or equivalent industry experience
● CAD C&G level 3 or equivalent to 2 years in depth CAD use
