An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join us.

This integral role is responsible for maintenance and facilities management alongside performance improvement and execution of capital projects.

You'll report to the Chief Operating Officer and get to work with a collaborative team of operations professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure planned maintenance is implemented through a structured and standardised roadmap, with clear links to autonomous maintenance implementation

  • Development, delivery and management of the capital plan including compilation and justification of budget and forecasting and reporting of spend

  • Project management of Capital Projects as required, leading the compilation, justification and execution

  • Compliance with UK legislation and all relevant EH&S policies and procedures, ensuring the health and safety our of employees

  • Implementation of appropriate KPIs to measure maintenance system effectiveness (e.g. % reactive to planned maintenance)

  • Introduce and promote the implementation of best practice across all of the departmental disciplines

  • Provide effective leadership to the engineering team, driving performance improvement across the department

Job requirements

About You

Ideally, you will have achieved a degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline or at NVQ Level 5.

Your professional experience to date will have been gained from high-volume manufacturing environments.

You will have experience of leading a department and will be able to motivate individuals and build effective working relationships across business functions.

You’ll need to be highly organised with advanced IT skills and have experience in leading project management initiatives.

You will also have comprehensive technical knowledge, with a good understanding of PUWER and LOLER regulations.
