Technical Data Coordinator
- On-site
- Hull, England, United Kingdom
- Technical & Engineering
Job description
Willerby - it’s our name and is a core component of who we are. We’re so proud of our legacy and to have grown from manufacturing in a tiny village nearby to our sprawling 90-acre site in Hull today. Our goal has always been and always will be dedication to detail and creating a quality product.
With 80 years experience, Willerby has been the UK’s largest manufacturer of holiday homes and lodges. We love designing practical and beautiful homes for parks not only in the UK but also across the world.
We are looking to recruit a Technical Data Coordinator to be the vital link between our Design and CAD/CAM teams, the factory floor, and external suppliers. This role will act as the final checkpoint for our technical data, ensuring accurate drawings, cutting lists, and batch data are "released" and received on time.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate (at BTEC, HND, or Degree level) or a skilled administrator with strong IT skills who is eager to learn and grow organically within an engineering department
Key Responsibilities
Data export and document control:
Final Manufacturing Check: Serve as the final checkpoint before manufacturing by checking and compiling drawing packs.
Distribution & Liaison: Supply accurate drawings to production, timing departments, and external suppliers.
System Integration: Check and import general assemblies into Willerby’s custom import system and ensure all drawings have up-to-date views in our Autodesk Vault
Technical administration and checking:
Batch Verification: Verify critical manufacturing data, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), part quantities, and options.
CAD Review: Open and review CAD models/drawings to spot missing or incorrect part information, escalating issues to the Design or CAD/CAM teams.
Data Management: Manage colour changes and ensure correct data is attached to each batch.
Process Tracking: Check late options, concessions, and completed OCRs (Operational Change Requests); inform CAD/CAM or Timings of required changes and internal change documentation. System and database maintenance
Data Management: Use your IT skills to maintain work-in-progress tracking sheets, production sheets, and shared technical databases.
Communication and general support:
Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact, liaising clearly between technical staff, production teams, and external suppliers to resolve queries.
Coordination: Arrange replacements and prototype requirements with production and CAD/CAM.
Operational Support: Stock and maintain print room supply; order timber kits and manage the fire register in the team lead’s absence
